Recognizing wedding anniversaries with a blessing for the married couple within Mass on the Anniversary of their marriage is a simple but meaningful way a parish may celebrate and encourage the vocation of marriage.
By blessing married couples within Mass on the Anniversary of their Marriage, a parish may not only recognize the anniversary of the couple, but also the vocation of Marriage itself. The Order of Celebrating Matrimony includes a blessing for a married couple within Mass on the Anniversary of Marriage in Appendix III. This simple ritual provides structure for these blessings.
